The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance function for a diverse portfolio of Perth-based hospitality assets. This role is a strategic, hybrid position that bridges the gap between traditional financial controllership and high-level asset stewardship. While it maintains a foundation in day-to-day operations—such as managing A/P, A/R, and intercompany billings—its primary value lies in leading the finance function for a diverse asset portfolio. You are expected to move beyond the ledger to provide strategic financial leadership and governance that directly supports operational and commercial decision-making.
You will move beyond the recording of historical data to support critical strategic planning, business cases, and high-stakes investment evaluations. We are looking for a strategic mindset capable of translating complex financial information into actionable insights that identify emerging market trends, risks, and opportunities. Your oversight will extend to managing rolling cashflow forecasts and fixed asset registers to ensure depreciation accurately reflects the portfolio's lifecycle and informs long-term strategic growth.
The Ideal Profile
The successful candidate will ideally bring a CA or CPA qualification and a strong technical background, potentially from an audit foundation. We are specifically looking for a professional who understands the nuances of the hospitality and property investment industries. - Proven experience in service apartments, hospitality, or the property investment sector.
- The ability to move beyond day-to-day functions like A/P and A/R to influence business growth and investment evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills to partner closely with Business Unit Heads and the Operations team.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with a preference for those familiar with NetSuite and RMS.
